Hobbie Auto Center food drive a success: Hobbie Auto Center employees loaded a truck filled with non-perishable food items that were collected from a food drive it held during the month of November and delivered it to the Oroville Rescue Mission in an effort to enhance their Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners. "It's important that as a community we come together and all do our fair share to ensure that nobody goes hungry, especially during the holidays" said Tres Hobbie, owner of Hobbie Chevrolet, Cadillac, Toyota. Donations for the food drive were made by Hobbie's employees, the community and a major contributor was the Americana Corvette Club. The Corvette Club cruised into the Hobbie Auto Center parking lot with Corvettes filled with canned goods. In addition to the food drive Hobbie's also delivered 50 turkeys to the Oroville Rescue Mission to accompany the food boxes that were distributed for Thanksgiving.
